Expectations of Parents

The school anticipates the following from you:

  • Students' parents should be ready to discuss many aspects of their children, sign messages, analyse progress reports, and offer remedial measures as needed.
  • Parents should check their children's school diaries on a regular basis because it contains vital notifications from the authorities for their information.
  • If and when it becomes essential for students to leave school for any reason, it should be communicated in advance to the responsible instructor and the school principal.
  • Please send your child to school in a neat and clean uniform every day (complete uniform). The school uniform serves as more than an identification tag; it also serves to prepare students for a fresh day of learning each day. It also fosters a sense of community.
  • Please make sure your child arrives at school early so he has time to calm down physically and mentally. For us Indians, punctuality has not been a way of life; nevertheless, for us at Montfort, it is a way of life and a trait that we hold in high regard.
  • Children should be provided with the appropriate facilities and set times to read/study at home without interruption. There should be no wiggle room when it comes to studying time; don't leave it up to the child's or your whims and fancies.
  • Encourage a family learning culture: Schooling may be brief, but education and learning are lifetime pursuits. Because a child spends approximately 3/4 of his time at home with his or her family, he or she absorbs far more information from them subconsciously through interactions with parents and relatives. As a result, creating a learning culture in the home is just as crucial as sending the child to school.

The teachers anticipate that you will:

  • With permission from the Principal, parents are free to contact teachers to discuss any urgent situation concerning their children. The professors may make some ugly statements about the students, which the parents should patiently accept because it is all for the benefit of the students.
  • Never compare your child to another youngster, much less a sibling. If such comparisons are made repeatedly, your youngster will become demoralised and acquire an inferiority complex. Negatively comparing one sibling to another might lead to lifelong animosity between them (sibling rivalry). Typically, comparisons are done on only one or two dimensions: grades (study), athletics, or behaviour. Distinct youngsters have different talents and gifts.
  • English is not our first language. However, because English is the medium of instruction, it is critical that the student is fluent in the language. Parents and family members must assist the youngster with a certain amount of English discourse at home in order to achieve this.
  • As a parent, you must commit to assisting your child in developing self-esteem and self-confidence by making him or her feel good about themselves.
  • Parent-teacher meetings (PTM) are critical to your child's academic success (becoming a good student). Parents must make sure that the PTM is not missed. Because many offices are closed on Saturdays, the PTM is usually held on the second Saturday of the month. Your attendance at the PTM on a regular basis will have a beneficial impact on your kid and the teachers since it demonstrates your interest and involvement in your child's education.
